Officials: Do Not Call 911 to Report A Business Not Complying With the Governor's Order

Blair County Emergency Management is urging individuals not to call 911 to report businesses not complying with Gov. Tom Wolf’s order.

The closure of non-life sustaining businesses is a measure that has been taken to control the spread of a communicable disease, COVID-1, and has been ordered by the Governor and the Secretary of Health. The closures are enforceable through criminal penalties, under the Disease Control and Prevention Law of 1955 and the Administrative Code of 1929.

Concerned citizens, wishing to report non-compliant businesses, should contact their local law enforcement agency’s non-emergency number or the nearest PSP (Pennsylvania State Police) station.

Emergency officials said it is very important that 911 only be called for life threatening emergencies.
