Duncansville
Rose M. Cramer, 90, of Duncansville, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at UPMC Altoona.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville, with Pastor James Zaebst as celebrant.
Interment was held at Alto-Reste Cemetery, Altoona.
Rose was born on April 7, 1929, in Altoona, daughter of the late John L. Sr. and Ruth (Hemcher) Cramer.
Surviving is a brother, Robert Cramer (Mary) of Duncansville. Rose was an aunt to 17 nieces and nephews and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by a brother, John L. Cramer Jr .; and two sisters: Sara Zeek and Betty Imler.
She was a 1947 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves from 1959 to 1961. She was a 1951 graduate of Slippery Rock College, and in 1961, she received a master's degree in education from Penn State University. She retired June 24, 1994, from the Spring Cove School District as a guidance counselor with 43 years of service. She was a charter member of Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville, and a member of the PSEA, NEA and the Spring Cove Education Association, where she was a past president.
Rose enjoyed gardening and picking strawberries.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grace Family Bible Church or to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602 in Rose's memory.
