Nason Auxiliary Donates $200 To Roaring Spring Library

Nason Auxiliary recently presented a donation of $200 to the Roaring Spring Library. The money donated was raised through the 2019 Nason Auxiliary Light-A-Light tree.

The Auxiliary provides programs at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring, including the Comfort Cart and the free coffee stations located in the front lobby and the outpatient lobby. The auxiliary has purchased artificial plants to beautify the lobby, and members also decorate the main lobby for the Christmas holiday.

The auxiliary has purchased smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors for home health patients and special delivery families. The auxiliary has also made donations to other area organizations including Through Inc., John's Way, area food pantries and has financially supported the Roaring Spring Community Picnic.

The auxiliary has also funded a scholarship for high school students who will be continuing their education in a healthcare related field for the past three years.

Auxiliary funds are raised through membership dues, a variety of fundraisers and sales in the hospital gift shop. The gift shop has a variety of items for sale including baby items, women's clothing, jewelry and gift items.

Members may choose to be as involved in the auxiliary as much as they are comfortable. The auxiliary meets quarterly in the Nason Hospital Boardroom.

To join, call President Judy Reffner at 224-6220.
