The Spring Cove School Board approved salary increases for all of its janitors, secretaries, coaches and advisors for student activities. The new salaries will go into effect July 1.

Action to improve the Mines water supply must take place immediately or funds for the project will not be available, members of the Williamsburg Office of Economic Opportunity learned Feb. 13.

Holstein Club Reorganizes with Milton Corle elected president, Wayne Frederick vice president and Donald Brumbaugh secretary/treasurer.

Sharon Turner has been cited Northern Bedford’s 1970 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow. She is now automatically entered in the State judging.

The Central High School Music Parents Association has ordered 100 new uniforms for band members and six new uniforms for majorettes. The total cost of the order is over $10,000. Several fund raising events will be held to raise money for the uniforms.

The Vietnam Bonus Bureau announced a back-log of eight to nine months in applications for the bonus.
