Pirates Winners of 13 of 17 Contests

The Williamsburg High School boys’ basketball team rolled to a 71-38 road victory against Moshannon Valley on Jan. 24.

Trailing 11-5 after the first quarter, Williamsburg controlled the second quarter and grabbed a 25-21 lead at halftime. The Blue Pirates then dominated the second half by a 46-27 scoring margin.

Josiah Dowey drained 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead the Blue Pirates. Adam Uplinger (three 3-pointers) and Shane Brantner each added 11 points. Eleven Pirates scored in the win.
