The Williamsburg High School girls’ basketball team was overwhelmed by visiting Juniata Valley on Jan. 27, 62-19.
The Lady Pirates, held to single-digit scoring in each of the four quarters by the Juniata Valley defense, trailed 40-6 at halftime. Valley had a 22-13 scoring advantage in the second half.
Kendel Norris’ seven points led the Lady Pirates in scoring.
Glendale 51, WHS 42
Visiting Glendale pulled away in the fourth quarter from Williamsburg on Jan. 30 and scored a 51-42 victory.
The Lady Blue Pirates led 16-10 after one quarter, but Glendale pulled ahead 23-21 at halftime. Leading 33-30 through three quarters, Glendale closed the game with a 20-12 run.
Jayla Woodruff paced Williamsburg with 11 points.
