CKHS Girls Dominate on the Road, at Home

The Claysburg-Kimmel High School girls’ basketball team raced to a 28-5 lead after the first quarter against Mount Union on Jan. 27 and cruised to a 67-32 victory on the road.

Leading 38-20, the Lady Bulldogs broke the game wide open with a 17-2 third-quarter run.

Four players scored in double figures for C-K, led by Megan Hartman’s 20, including two 3-pointers. Bailey Garver scored 19 points, while Rebekah Claar and Kaylee Haney added 10 points each.

C-K 73, Mo Valley 13

The Lady Bulldogs stormed out of the gates to a 35-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a 73-13 victory against visiting Moshannon Valley on Jan. 30.

The lead swelled to 54-6 at halftime. C-K outscored Valley in the second half 19-7, including 8-0 in the fourth quarter.

Megan Hartman led C-K with 21 points, including three 3-pointers. Bailey Garver and Kaylee Hainey added 16 and 10 points, respectively.
