LUELLA JEAN DETTERLINE

New Enterprise

Luella Jean Detterline, 82. of New Enterprise, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Faith Assembly Church, Roaring Spring. Pastor Del Smith officiated.

Interment was made in Holsinger Cemetery.

Luella was born Sept. 23, 1937, in East St. Clair Township, the daughter of the late Lester and Dora (Lamborn) Miller.

She was united in marriage to the late Willard Detterline June 3, 1955, at the Holsinger Church of the Brethren.

Luella is survived by three children: Duane Detterline (Sharon) of New Enterprise, Karen Weaver (George) of Woodbury and Kevin Detterline of New Enterprise; six grandchildren: Krista Kochara (Jamie), Amie Bowden, Angela Blanchard (Carlton), Amber Detterline, Josiah Weaver and Emma Detterline; nine great-grandchildren: Makayla, Noah, Alexander and Ezra Kochara; Zach and Leah Bowden; Ilsa and Merci Blanchard; and Jaxon Detterline; a sister: Shirley Over (Stanley) of The Villages, Fla .; and a brother, James Ickes of Breezewood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; a grandson, Derek Weaver of Woodbury; a great-granddaughter, Aurelia Blanchard of Martinsburg; and a brother, Alton Ickes of Lancaster.

Luella was a 1955 graduate of Roaring Spring High School and was a member of the Faith Assembly Church, Roaring Spring.

She enjoyed needlepoint, sewing and spending time with her family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Luella's memory may be given to John's Way Medical Equipment Ministry, 137 Church Hill Lane, Martinsburg; or the American Cancer Society, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
