At its 2019 official reorganization meeting, the Woodbury Township supervisors discussed the fact that if an employee did not use the township’s health insurance, that the employee could be reimbursed partially for private-paid insurance.
At the Jan. 6, 2020, reorganization meeting, the supervisors voted in favor of the stipend. All full-time employees of the township who do not use the township’s insurance are entitled to a monthly stipend of $300 in lieu of insurance.
Supervisor Joe Lansberry, who was again voted chairman at the meeting, made the motion with Vice Chairman Ed Clark seconding. Roadmaster and Supervisor Craig Hamilton abstained from the vote.
Wages for the secretary/treasurer, summer help, road workers and emergency help were all increased by 3 percent.
Stiffler McGraw of Hollidaysburg was retained as the township’s engineering firm and Hippo, Fleming and Pertile (David Pertile) of Altoona was retained as the township’s solicitor.
The cost for building permits remained the same at $25 plus $1 per $1,000 for construction and labor costs.
