Herald Visits Iceland

Denise Grubb of Martinsburg holds a copy of the Herald in Iceland on a rainy, windy day in October at the Jökulsárlón Lagoon (or Glacier's-River-Lagoon). Jökulsárlón is a glacial lagoon, bordering Vatnajókull National Park in southeastern Iceland. Its still, blue waters are dotted with icebergs from the surrounding Breiðamerkurjökull Glacier. The icebergs in Jökulsárlón are composed of ice that is more than 1,000 years old.
