The Claysburg-Kimmel High School girls’ team earned its first win of the season Dec. 10, defeating Williamsburg, 58-32.
The host Lady Bulldogs raced to a 52-20 lead through three quarters. The squad drained 10 3-pointers, including three by Megan Hartman and two each from Bailey Garver and Kalei Carson.
At West Branch Dec. 11, C-K evened its record at 2-2 with a 68-26 victory.
Ahead 13-10 after one quarter, C-K broke the game open with a 19-9 surge in the second quarter. C-K outscored West Branch 36-7 in the final two quarters.
