Snow Drifts Pile Up

The seven-inch snow which fell Monday afternoon and night gave the state, county and township highway workers additional worries as they wrestled with the snow drifts. Some highways in the Cove were opened up three different times, first following the big blizzard, second following Sunday’s drifting and third following this week’s snow. The late covering added to the foot or more of last week, in the woodlands and other places where there was no drifting, made a blanket of about eighteen inches, which is equivalent to about two inches of water.
