G. Kay Clabaugh, 83, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, Nov. 28, 2019, at the home, following an extended illness.
A funeral was held Monday, Dec. 2, at the at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., http://www.bolgerfuneralhome.com, Williamsburg. Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiated.
Private interment was held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
Kay was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Garfield Hall and Geneva May (Treese) Showalter.
She married Kenneth L. Clabaugh April 18, 2002, in Alexandria.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Ken, of 17 years; a sister, Delores R. Weyant of East Freedom; a brother, Brian K. Showalter of Williamsburg; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, who loved Kay.
She was preceded in death by five sisters: Janet L. Suter, D. Arlene Leamer, Beverly Fay Frye-Snyder, Sandra L. Hunter and Donna J. Showalter; and two brothers: G. Curtis and L. Kent Showalter.
Kay was a 1954 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a longtime member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
She retired as a clerk from Rite Aid, Huntingdon, and also worked as a secretary for Westvaco in Williamsburg and Covington, Md.
Kay loved birdwatching, shopping, cooking and doing puzzles. She was also a very talented singer, who sang with the Sweet Adelines while living in Maryland.
Memorial contributions in memory of Kay can be given to Williamsburg Public Library, 511 W. Second St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
