WINIFRED M. 'DOLLY' SATTERFIELD

Winifred M. "Dolly" Satterfield, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

A funeral was held, Saturday, Nov. 23, in Christ Church, Roaring Spring. The Rev. Joel Kletzing officiated.

Interment was made in Fairview Cemetery.

Dolly was born April 18, 1936, in Snake Spring Township, Bedford County, the daughter of the late Sherman C. and Margaret (Anderson) Imler.

She married Richard C. Satterfield July 14, 1956. He preceded her in death June 25, 2004.

Dolly is survived by a daughter, Linda J. Helsel of Martinsburg, and a special friend, Pat Grace of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Helen Blake, who raised her; a son, David C. Satterfield; a brother, Sherman C. Imler Jr .; and a sister, Dorothy Caplan.

Dolly was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.

Dolly, along with her late husband owned and operated the Spring House Family Restaurant in Roaring Spring from 1985 to 2007.

Dolly was a member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring, where she had enjoyed helping at Kids Club and helping in the kitchen for meals.

She was a member of Soroptimist International.

She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and spending time with family and friends.

Contributions in Dolly's memory may be given to Christ Church.
