An East Freedom man is behind bars after being arraigned on multiple charges for the sexual assault of two underage girls in two separate incidents in 2018.
According to charges filed by the Hollidaysburg State Police, Brandon S. Holsinger, 18, sexually assaulted the two girls, a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, within two days of each other in December 2018.
The investigation began when police were called to Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Roaring Spring on the evening of Dec. 18 for a report of a sexual assault after the 15-year-old girl went to the emergency room to report she had been sexually assaulted the night before.
Police said the mother of the 15-year-old told them that her daughter told her she was sexually assaulted by Holsinger along Agway Road in North Woodbury Township.
The girl was interviewed at the Blair County Advocacy Center on Dec. 18 where she told the interviewer that she had arranged to meet up with Holsinger to get something to eat.
Holsinger allegedly told the girl that he didn't have any money and drove to a pond on Agway Road and parked his car. Police said when the girl began to talk abut the assault she became "very emotional" and could not continue the interview.
On Jan. 9, 2019, the 15-year-old victim was again interviewed at the advocacy center. During this second interview, the girl told investigators that Holsinger had sexual intercourse with her in the back seat of his car. She told police that she tried to push him away and told him "no," but that Holsinger held her down and continued to have sex with her against her will.
Police interviewed the victim's sister who told them that Holsinger picked up her sister on the night of Dec. 17 and when she returned home, the victim told her sister what had occurred.
According to the charges, the victim told her sister that Holsinger drove to the pond and parked in the lot. The victims allegedly told her sister that they were kissing when Holsinger had sex with her. The victim told her sister that she tried to push away but she could not stop him.
The victim's sister told police that she sent Holsinger a text message asking him what happened. Holsinger allegedly texted back saying "I didn't mean to hurt her" and "I will never talk to her again if that's what it takes but I cannot have my life ruined by a mistake that I made."
Holsinger also allegedly texted that he was sorry and that "I know it was wrong, but it happened and I am sorry." Holsinger then allegedly texted "I cannot go to jail" and "I don't want to go to prison." He also allegedly told the victim's sister that he wanted to know if she was going to tell because he would kill himself if she did. "I already feel like complete garbage about it and I cannot go to jail," Holsinger allegedly said.
Police said the alleged assault of the 17-year-old girl occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on Dec. 15 at a pull-off location along McDonald Road in Freedom Township.
According to police, the victim's mother contacted them on Dec. 22 and told them her daughter was forced to have sex with one of her friends.
The victim told police that she had met up with Holsinger on the night of Dec. 15. Holsinger allegedly picked the victim up near her residence and drove onto Donnertown Road.
The victim told police she questioned this direction due to the fact that they were going to get something to eat and that this was not the way. Holsinger allegedly told the victim that they were picking up one of her friends.
Holsinger then allegedly drove to the end of McDonald Road and pulled over near a group of mailboxes. The victim told police that after they pulled over, Holsinger asked her to get in the back seat so his friend could sit in the front. Holsinger then allegedly told the victim he was going to sit in the back seat because his shoulder hurt.
Once in the back seat with the victim, Holsinger allegedly began to touch the victim's legs. The victim told police she asked Holsinger to stop but that he continued to move his hands to her hip and waist area.
Holsinger then allegedly took the victim's shirt and pants off and held her down while he put on a condom. Holsinger then allegedly held the victim down in a "bear hug" and sexually assaulted her.
Holsinger was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Andrew Blattenberger, Martinsburg, on multiple felony counts of rape, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual assault and corruption of minors. He also faces misdemeanor charges of indecent assault.
Holsinger was placed in the Blair County Prison with bail set at 10 percent of $40,000.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for today, Nov. 14, in front of Blattenberger.
