Martinsburg Borough Council is expected to hold the line on real estate taxes in 2020.
Council on Monday evening, Nov. 4, approved a preliminary balanced budget of $863,7000. Real estate taxes will remain at 1.871 mills.
If council adopts the preliminary budget during the Dec. 2 meeting, it will mark the ninth straight year that real estate taxes in the borough have not increased.
Other taxes for 2020 include per capita tax, $5; and earned income tax, 5 mills.
