RS Post Office Burglarized

The safe in the post office in Roaring Spring was blown open by burglars and $399 worth of stamps, a sum of money, a lot of jewelry and some valuable papers were stolen. Arrested and charged with the offense were Daniel Price, Abraham Myers and Frank and George Lear, who were held on $1,000 bail each for a hearing on Nov. 8 before U.S. Commissioner Graffius. John Myers was released on his own recognizance.
