Jean R. Focht, 97, was taken to her eternal home in Heaven on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, where she has met her God and savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, face to face. On this date, she also joined her beloved husband of 71 years marriage, Dean R. Focht Sr., who preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2012. United in marriage on July 3, 1941; reunited in glory for eternity. Also preceding her in death was her eldest son, Dean R. Focht Jr., on June 24, 2019, as well as infant granddaughter, Tammy Jean Focht. Four little great-grandchildren who have gone before, unmet, are now holding Grandma's hand.
Sunday afternoons and holidays were spent around the family table followed by Grandma at the piano surrounded by her devoted family. She was a constant keeper of the home and a cherished helpmeet. Every Sunday and Wednesday she would faithfully be found in the Lord's House with her husband and family. Her home was a peaceful sanctuary where her children and grandchildren would always find loving arms.
She will be remembered by Cheryl Focht, wife of Dean R. Focht Jr., and their three children: Dr. Dean R. Focht lll (Julie), Wendy Focht (Howie) and Michael Focht (Mandy). Great-grandchildren are Allie, Taylor, Colsen, # and Kendyl. She is also remembered by her daughter Eileen Snare (Darrell) and their two children: Kent Snare (Melody) and Julie Hite (Jeffrey). Great-grandchildren are Maddie, Ben, Gabe, Jeremiah, Abigail, Luke and Jael. Lastly, she is remembered by her son Lonnie Focht, (Lee Ann) and their three children: Jeremy Focht, Jennifer Parks (Jason) and Jessica Focht. Great-grandchildren are Isaiah, Noah, and Ryan.
Her family would like to extend special thanks to her Homewood family for their loving support, friendship, and care.
Services will be held at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, 633 Valley Forge Road, Duncanville, Pa. Today, Thursday, Oct. 17, friends and family will be received from 10 until 11 a.m., at which time the funeral will begin.
