Saturday brought a chilly damp start to the 14th annual Hollidaysburg Borough Pumpkinfest. But that didn't deter folks from coming out to celebrate autumn and harvest time.
Vendors, mostly non-profits, stretched along Allegheny Street for nearly four blocks from Front Street to just shy of the post office. Worthy returning organizations included Home Nursing's Healing Patch "Patched Together" program, promoting "A day of music" at the Bavarian Hall in Altoona on Nov. 16 (patchedtogether.com), along with the Scarecrow Workshop by Boy Scout Troop 34 of Hollidaysburg.
