Ask the Williamsburgers

With the recipes this week, it will be clear that fall is my favorite time of the year – mostly because football is such a huge part of my family and is a large part of our lives. I decided to ask the residents of Williamsburg – What is your favorite thing about fall? Here is what a few had to say:

Don Feathers: Everything from cool nights [and] warm days, leaves turning, hunting season, festivals, football season – the list goes on and on.

Danessa Pheasant: The crisp air and taking long drives on back roads to view the changing of the leaves. Also, I love burning pumpkin-scented candles. It just gives our homes the warm and cozy feeling. Fall is a wonderful time of the year!

Ellen Jane: Cooler weather

Patty Bigelow: Cooler temps, changing leaves, bonfires and fall craft shows.

Lisa Jones: Nothing!

Tamara Hansen: Cashmere

Susan Pielmeier-Pruznak: The beautiful color of the leaves.

Stan Grove: Hunting

Paula Hamilton: The smell of fall in the air. I love the fall colors and watching the leaves being painted by the Master’s Hand with each passing day.

Barbara DeWitt: Colors of the tree and leaves

Marge Troxell: The colors and decorations

Renee Criswell: The smells, the leaves, taking walks down the trail and fall fairs.

Robert Hamel: Those mosquitos with other pests go away!
