Williamsburg was the scene of a great welcome home celebration for the soldiers and sailors of the town and adjoining districts on Saturday. The events of the day were marked by the presence of Charles M. Schwab, a native of the town and included a parade, dinner, formal exercises, sports and a dinner at which the soldier boys were the guests of honor.
The town assumed a holiday air and the national colors were displayed everywhere, with service flags and the colors of the allies intermingled with the Stars and Stripes. Stores and banks were closed for the day and holi...
