“Friday’s game was a mixed bag of emotions,” C-K Matt Bilchak said. “We stress situational awareness to our football players. The rain presented with some challenges for us, and we missed on some scoring opportunities early in the game.”

Bilchak said a big play by his special teams was a blocked punts by Pressten Imler in the third quarter, which set up a 4-yard touchdown run by Harr that put the Bulldogs in front by 24.

“Having Pressten Imler block a punt really pulled momentum for us,” Bilchak said. “Usually if you can make a big play like that, statistically you stand a good chance of winning.”

The Bulldogs committed 10 penalties on the night for 100 yards.

Joseph Bacher had 49 rushing yards on 22 carries for Moshannon Valley. “

Moshannon Valley was a big physical team and we knew it was not going to be an easy matchup,” Bilchak said. “I was thankful we were able to take advantage of great field position throughout the game and maintain the lead we established.

C-K will travel to Glendale (3-1) Friday, Sept. 20, in an Inter-County Conference showdown. Kickoff at Dr. Roy F. Baker Athletic Field is set for 7 p.m.
