Pa. Renews Opioid Disaster Declaration for Seventh Time

Naloxone to be Distributed Free Sept. 18 and 25

Sept. 10 marked the seventh renewal of Pennsylvania’s Opioid Disaster Declaration. As has become routine, Pennsylvania will continue its use of a 90-day disaster declaration to fight the opioid crisis.

As part of the state’s efforts to combat opioid addiction and related problems, the Department of Health and Opioid Command Center has two planned naloxone kit giveaway days – Sept. 18 and 25 – with 95 locations across the state distributing free kits while supplies last.

The two sites in the Cove region are
