The Central football team found itself in that scenario Friday night, Aug. 30, at Tyrone’s Gray-Vets Memorial Field.
On third down in the wanning seconds of the game and with his team trailing 7-6, Central senior quarterback Braden Kitt appeared to have scored on a 2-yard run. After officials got together and ruled that Kitt had not scored, the senior followed teammates on the very next play into the end zone with two seconds remaining, lifting the Dragons to a 12-7 victory in a Mountain League battle.
