Putting cows on the front page since 1885.
It’s about that time in Williamsburg when those from far and wide converge on our little town for the week – next week is Farm Show week.
The Williamsburg Community Farm Show Board of Directors has been busy planning activities for the week of Sunday, Aug. 18, until Saturday, Aug. 24. This year is packed with a great line-up of talented local musical artists: The Nick Miller Project, the Sharptones, Matt Pletcher Trio, Ricky Lee, The Werner Family Band, Elaini Arthur and Glen Shelton.
Organizers say that there will be new participants in the parade and on Thursday evening, there will be a special dunk tank with some Williamsburg Community School District personnel taking the special seat.
Another special item that organizers are excited for this year is game day. Game Day will be occurring on Friday morning, Aug. 23 beginning at 9:30 a.m., with games targeted towards children in grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.
More information and a schedule of events are available at the website http://www.williamsburgfarmshowpa.com
Kicking off the event will be Sunday’s Williamsburg Horse Show Association’s Open Horse Show at 9 a.m., followed by the 25th Annual Antique, Classic and Custom Car Show.
