Man Injured at Saw Mill

Daniel Greaser, 40, of Clover Creek was injured at Boyer’s saw mill near Marklesburg, Huntingdon County. According to reports, Greaser was using a file to work on a revolving wheel when the wheel burst, hurling the file into Greaser’s chest. The file penetrated the chest cavity above the lung, causing a 7-inch gash. Greaser was treated by a local physician, who gave the patient’s wife little hope of his recovery.

A bridge over the stream in McKees Gap was completed, allowing for dry passage from the East Freedom area to Roaring Spring.
