Approximately 30 people show up at meeting to discuss library's future
A standing-room-only crowd filled council chambers in the Roaring Spring Borough building on Monday evening, July 8, many of whom signed up to speak during the public comment portion of the borough council meeting.
Approximately 30 people showed up to show their support for the Roaring Spring Community Library, which had representatives on hand to ask council to extend its lease on the Eldon Inn, the building that houses the library, until at least February 2020.
The lease expired this month and council has decided not to renew, instead going to a month-to-month lease, giving the library time...
