Pennsylvania state Sen. Judy Ward (R-30th) issued the following statement today in reaction to passage of the 2019-20 state budget, which meets the core responsibilities of government without a tax increase:

One of the highest responsibilities of lawmakers is to spend taxpayer dollars wisely, so I am thankful that we were able to pass a balanced budget that does not raise taxes and deposits money in the state’s Rainy Day Fund. I am optimistic that this fiscally responsible approach will put us in a good position going forward.
