Hazardous Waste Collection Set at PNG Field

The Intermunicipal Relations Committee will host the annual household hazardous waste collection from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Peoples Natural Gas Field, Altoona.

There will be a charge per car trunk-load with an additional charge for all paints. Latex and oil paint will be accepted and recycled for a charge per pound.

Residents throughout Blair County are encouraged to participate and bring their household hazardous waste to the collection. Material from businesses will not be collected without a pre-registration appointment. Volunt...
