Florence D. Appleman, 71, of Martinsburg, died Friday, May 31, 2019, at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Florence was born on Aug. 15, 1947, in Blue Knob, the daughter of the late Dewey and Viola (Mock) Brawley.
She married Sheldon H. Appleman Sr. on June 7, 1969, in Newry. He preceeded her in death on April 11, 2007.
Florence is survived by five children: Dave P. Appleman of East Freedom, Jodi Dibert and husband Jan of Roaring Spring, Cortland Appleman and wife Nicole of Claysburg, Katie Pote and husband Shawn of Woodbury and Richard Appleman of East Freedom; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and six siblings, Kate Ott, Virginia Heaton, Don Brawley, Paul Brawley, Ella Dively and Glenda Hatch.
Florence was preceded in death by four children: Kenny, Ja’net, Dusty and Sheldon Jr .; and five siblings.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School.
Florence was previously employed at Cove Shoe Co., Martinsburg, and Bickel's Surplus, Roaring Spring.
She enjoyed baking and taking care of her grandchildren.
