'Friends' Plan Aug. Book Sale

The Friends of the Martinsburg Community Library met on May 14 at the library.

In June, the book club will discuss “In The Bleak Midwinter,” by Julia-Spencer Fleming.

The Friends will sponsor a book sale for the library on Aug. 8-10. Residents may bring used books for the library to sell beginning in June.

Each month a basket full of a variety of fun items will be raffled off by the library.

This summer’s summer reading program is titled “Universe of Stories” and will begin June 10 and end Aug. 2.

“Taste of the Cove” is scheduled for Oct. 19.
