BETTY G. DUBBS

Betty G. Dubbs, 93, of Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Roaring Spring.

At Betty’s request, a private service will be held with her son, Pastor James P. Dubbs, officiating.

Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Betty was born on May 30, 1925, in Altoona, daughter of the late William E. and Alice G. (Bartlebaugh) Talbert.

She married Ralph H. Dubbs on Oct. 17, 1941, in Altoona. He preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 1992.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Don) Musselman of Roaring Spring; two sons: James (Joni) Dubbs of Falls Church, Virginia, and Ronald (Mary) Dubbs of Cottage Grove, Oregon; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ronald E. (Mary) Talbert of Roaring Spring; and three sisters: Linda A. Lennon of Portsmouth, Virginia, and Hazel E. Nearhoof and Judy L. (Paul) Dodson, both of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Dubbs; three sisters: Marian E. Dubbs, Mary Jane Redinger and Dorrie E. Bennett; and 3 brothers: Thomas R., George E. and William E. Talbert.

Betty was a longtime member of Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville, where she formerly taught Sunday school. She was a true prayer warrior and whole heartedly loved her Lord and church.

Betty was a homemaker and also a caregiver to many during her life. She loved her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in memory of Betty can be given to Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, 1130 Foot of Ten Road, Duncansville, PA 16635.
