Daniel B. “Tucker” Hoffman, 94, of New Enterprise, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at his home.
A funeral was held on Saturday, May 11, at New Enterprise Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Marlys Hershberger officiated.
Tucker was born on Sept. 30, 1924, in New Enterprise RD, a son of the late Daniel B. Sr. and Eliza (Dooley) Hoffman.
He was united in marriage with Shirley A. Fluke on Feb. 28, 1948, in Cumberland, Maryland. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2004.
Surviving are daughter Pamela Brallier (Daniel) of Harrisburg; son Richard A. Hoffman (Rita) of Mechanicsburg; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; grandson Ryan Hoffman; and three sisters.
Tucker served his country in the Navy during World War II.
He was a member of the New Enterprise Church of the Brethren and drove truck for New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc. for many years.
