Ruth E. Creps, 91, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of North Woodbury Township, rural Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, May 7, 2019, at the home.
At Ruth’s request there will be no public service and a private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Ruth was born on Dec. 14, 1927, in Aitch, Huntingdon County, daughter of the late Rolla W. and Ruth E. (Young) Thompson.
She married Wilmer Donald Creps on Sept. 27, 1945, in Martinsburg. He preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2012.
Surviving are two daughters: Donna (Ken) Corle of rural Roaring Spring and Cathy (Dennis) Feather of Martinsburg; four grandchildren: Eric (Anita) Corle, Wendy (Kevin) Teeter, Betsy (Craig) Robison and Aaron (Laura) Feather; and eight great-grandchildren: Kyler, Kenzie, Alex, Logan, Mason, Landon, Liam and Adalyn.
She was the last of her immediate family, being preceded in death by eight siblings.
Ruth attended school in Huntingdon and was a longtime member of Clover Creek Church of the Brethren, rural Martinsburg.
She was primarily a homemaker, who enjoyed doing needle work, sewing, reading, and playing bingo.
