BCGC to Meet May 16

The Blair County Genealogical Society, Hollidaysburg, will hold its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

The guest speaker will be Dr Robin Cadwallader. She will discuss Mary Rankin’s “The Daughter of Affliction.”

“The Daughter of Affliction” is a religious memoir first published in 1858 by a rural, west-central Pennsylvania woman. The text was expanded and reprinted in 1871 and 1887.
