Sandy K. Crownover, 78, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, April 27, 2019, at The Village.
A funeral was held on Tuesday, April 30, at The Village at Morrisons Cove Chapel. Pastor Robby Kagarise officiated.
Sandy was born on May 23, 1940, in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Nelson "Jake" and Elda (Treese) Brantner.
She married Russell L. Crownover on May 23, 1993, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Russell, residing at The Village; three sons: Christopher Butcher (Todd Stambaugh) of Harrisburg, Michael (Cindy) Butcher of New Paris and Stephen (Lisa) Butcher of Williamsburg; four grandchildren: Patti Caporuscio, Brittnee Butcher, Brandon Butcher and Hayley Butcher; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Deborah Ford of Johnstown.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley M. Haney.
Sandy was a 1957 graduate of Williamsburg High School.
She was employed for many years as a secretary for different local businesses and also worked in the deli department at the Riverside Market in Williamsburg.
She attended Living Water Family Worship Center, Williamsburg, with her husband, Russell.
Sandy loved spending time with her family and watching movies, she also enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches, reading and listening to gospel music, especially the Gaithers.
