Feathers Earns Law Degree

Lori Feathers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Feathers of Martinsburg RD 2, was graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C., in January with two degrees: a Juris Doctorate degree and a master’s degree in international relations. Miss Feathers is a 1986 graduate of Central High School and a 1990 graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

Mrs. Mae Scholink, formerly of Roaring Spring and now residing at the Homewood Retirement Center, was honored April 7 at the Morrisons Cove Republican Club’s “Meet the Candidates” dinner at Memorial Park. Mrs. Scholink served as secretary of the Morrisons Cove club for 31 years. She served as a Blair County Committee member, a member of the Roaring Spring Election Board, a member of the Pennsylvania Republican Party, Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women, Blair County of Republican Women and the National Republican Committee. Mrs. Scholink received citations commemorating her 31 years of service to the club.
