William A. Replogle, 89, of Dillsburg, York County, and formerly of Grantham, Cumberland County, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the West Shore Hospital surrounded by family.
A masonic service was held on Monday, April 8, at Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren, Cumberland County. A funeral was also held on Monday at the church.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 9, at the Salemville Cemetery, rural New Enterprise.
Born on April 30, 1929, in New Enterprise, he was a son of the late Arthur L. and Eva M. (Detwiler) Replogle.
Surviving are his loving wife Diane G. Replogle; his two sons: W. Douglas Replogle and wife Rachel of East Berlin, Adams County, and S. Bradley Replogle and wife Brenda of Grantham; his brother, Dr. James R. Replogle and wife Carol of New Oxford, Adams County; a stepdaughter, Rachel Taillandier and husband Cyrille of Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County; two grandchildren: Stephen and Meghan Replogle; and two step-grandchildren: Catherine and Luc Taillandier.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Betty K. Replogle and his brothers Harold and the Rev. D. Alfred Replogle.
Bill was a graduate of Replogle High School, Class of 1947, and the founder of Replogle and Son Builders. He was a board member of the Brethren Home Community at Cross Keys Village, where he worked as a builder for many years. He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Church of the Brethren, serving on the board and building committee for construction of the church on Gale Street. He belonged to the Eureka-West Shore Lodge 302, F&AM, for 49 years.
