Sandra J. Brumbaugh, 63, of rural Roaring Spring, passed away early Monday morning, April 1, 2019, at UPMC Altoona, following a courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral was held on Friday, April 5, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc. http://www.bolgerfuneralhome.com, Martinsburg. Pastor J. Brant Leidy officiated.
Private interment was held at Brumbaugh Cemetery, rural Martinsburg.
Sandra was born on Jan. 15, 1956, in Natrona Heights, daughter of the late George H. and Shirley J. (Knipple) Ermin.
She married Richard C. Brumbaugh on April 3, 1980, in Cresson.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 39 years; two sons: Joshua L. and John D., both at home; a daughter, Sharon J. (Jeremy) Reese of Roaring Spring; a granddaughter, Joclynn A. Ramsey; and two brothers: G. Herbert Ermin of Lebanon and James D. Ermin of rural Natrona Heights.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Cora L. Minich and Nancy J. Cheran; and a brother, Philip Ermin.
Sandra was a 1973 graduate of Highlands High School, Natrona Heights, and also a 1980 graduate of Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, earning an associate degree in occupational therapy.
She worked as an occupational therapist for many years. Her last job as a therapist was for NovaCare Rehabilitation, before Sandra become a stay-at-home mom.
Sandra was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, and also a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Rainbow Girls. She also served as her daughter's Girl Scout troop leader.
She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed sewing, canning, leather craft and making do-rags for other's fighting cancer.
Memorial contributions in memory of Sandra can be given to American Cancer Society, 1104 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
