Marlene J. Nofsker, 84, a resident at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at The Village.
At the request of the deceased, services will be held at the convenience of the family by Pastor Linda Banaszak.
Interment will be made in Alto-Reste Park.
Marlene was born on May 27, 1934, in Altoona, the daughter of the late Beverly E. and Evelyn (Roth) Gardner.
She is survived by two children: Gary Nofsker and wife Bonnie of Quinton, Virginia, and Lisa Peel and husband Rich of Roaring Spring; four grandchildren: Bradley Gates and wife Tosha, Kaitlyn Franks and husband Justin, Tanner Gates and Matthew Peel and wife Annha; six great-grandchildren: Tyler, Cameron, Dominic, Silas, Jax and Hadlee; and her dog Bernie.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Keefe.
Marlene was a 1952 graduate of Altoona High School, where she was one of the first majorettes for the school.
She enjoyed sewing, music and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a 40-year-member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Chapter No. 471, where she had served as Worthy Matron for six terms.
