CAROLYN SUE (GODFREY) KITTLE-SHULTZ

Carolyn Sue (Godfrey) Kittle-Shultz, 79, of Williamsburg RR, went home to be with The Lord late Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at her residence.

A funeral was held on Sunday, Feb. 24, at Grace Pointe Community Church, Williamsburg. The Rev. James D. Spivey officiated.

Private interment was held at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg RR.

Carolyn was born on Oct. 13, 1939, in Adamston, West Virginia, daughter of the late Archie and Mary (Estep) Godfrey.

Carolyn was twice married; first to the Rev. Samuel D. Kittle, who preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1987, and then to W. Ronald Shultz.

Surviving are her loving husband of 30 years, W. Ronald Shultz of Williamsburg; three daughters: Donna S. (Dale) Bookhammer of Williamsburg, Lori A. (Rich) Brantner of Martinsburg and Lisa J. (Stephen) Butcher of Williamsburg; three sons, Jeff D. (Charlene) Kittle of East Freedom and Timothy A. (Linda) Shultz and William R. (Michelle) Shultz, both of Williamsburg; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Gerald and Richard Godfrey; and three sisters: Lulabelle Maxwell, Zelphia Meadows and Joyce Beverlin, all living in West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: infant Ronald, Robert and Ronald Godfrey.

Carolyn and her late husband, the Rev. Samuel D. Kittle, served The Lord in pastoral ministry for more than 30 years. Churches served were Acosta, Pennsylvania; Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; and the Williamsburg Church of God for 15 years.

Her ministry included teaching, singing, playing the piano and serving as Youth & Christian Education director. She loved watching game shows and westerns with her husband, Ron, and also enjoyed family gatherings and spending time in West Virginia with her siblings and relatives.

Carolyn's legacy of love and serving others will forever be in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn can be given to Grace Pointe Community Church, 815 Yellow Springs Drive, Williamsburg, PA 16693; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
