Altoona Driver License, Photo Center Expands Hours

PennDOT has announced that the Altoona Driver License Center at 1738A Ninth Ave. in Altoona has reopened for driver licensing and photo services.

The center was closed on Jan. 12 for renovations.

PennDOT has also expanded hours for the Altoona location. The Altoona Driver License Center is now open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and the Photo Center will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. The photo center is open Thursdays until 6 p.m.

The Huntingdon Driver License Center at the M.A.T. Plaza, Suite 12, on Route 22 in Huntingdon, which had been operating under extended hours while the Altoona center was closed, will resume normal operating hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays and photo center hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.

Customers may also obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website, http://www.dmv.pa.gov.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling.
