A group of volunteers from the Middle Pennsylvania District Church of the Brethren traveled in two vans to Lumberton, North Carolina, to do repairs on five homes that were damaged from flooding and hurricanes. Volunteers worked in North Carolina and South Carolina from Jan. 20 through Jan. 26.

The Disaster Response team meets at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring. Anyone who is interested in volunteering with the Disaster Response Team may attend the meetings or call the church office at 224-4113.
