The Blair County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees is offering two Education Support Grants in the amount of $250 each to public school employees for innovative, creative projects for which they have no other funding.
The deadline for the application is Friday, Feb. 1, with recipients of the award notified by Friday, Feb. 15.
Applications can be obtained from the school principal or superintendent and are available to any public school employee regardless of the capacity with which he or she works with children.
The Blair County Chapter of PASR also awards a Lauretta Woodson Award to an outstanding classroom teacher and a support staff person each year as well as a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to major in education in college.
