Northern Bedford dropped a 40-39 decision at Forbes Road Tuesday night, Dec. 18.
The Panthers, down 26-24 at the half, surged in the third quarter and took a 35-32 lead. Unfortunately, the Panthers offense left them in the fourth quarter as they could muster just four points. NB had an opportunity to win in the final seconds but was unable to convert on its final possession as the clock ran out.
“We played well but made some mistakes at inopportune times and our inexperience showed down the stretch,” NB coach Shawn Hicks said.
