C-K's 2nd-Half Effort Downs NBC

Claysburg-Kimmel used a big third-quarter edge to down Northern Bedford 66-58 in boys’ varsity basketball action at NBC on Dec. 11.

Down 30-29 at the half, the Bulldogs outscored Northern Bedford 16-6 in the third period and hung on for the win. R.J. Helsel scored four of the Bulldogs’ points in a nine-point run late in the 3rd period.

A Thad Leidy runner in the lane got NB to within 49-42 with five minutes to play, but the Panthers could never get any closer.
