Hot-Shooting Dragons Rough Up Pirates

The Central Dragons and Williamsburg Blue Pirates opened their 2018-19 season on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Williamsburg. The location was moved as the Dragons’ court continues renovation. The Scarlet Dragons jumped out to an 18-7 first quarter lead and won 70-38.

With both teams in rebuilding situations – Central has 16 of 18 players being underclassmen and Williamsburg has no seniors at all – many questions accompanied the opening game.

The Dragons hit four shots from long range early and nine for the game against the Pirates’ zone. Williamsburg connected for five 3-pointers in the contest.
