Nancy K. Bowers, 80, of Roaring Spring, died on Sunday morning, Dec. 2, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Pasadena, Maryland.
A funeral was held Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., http://www.thompsonfh.com, Roaring Spring. The Rev. Joel Kletzing officiated.
Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
Nancy was born on Oct. 26, 1938, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of the late Elvin Eicher and she was raised in the home of her grandparents, the late Elmer and Edith Stiffler.
She married Paul F. Bowers on Feb. 11, 1956, in Roaring Spring. His death on May 11, 2006, ended the 50-year marriage to the love of her life.
Nancy is survived by two children: Amy S. King of Pasadena, Maryland, and Charles F. Bowers of Woodbridge, Virginia; two grandchildren: Emily and Nathan; and a nephew, Danny Eicher of Denver, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Eicher.
Nancy was a homemaker and a seamstress.
She loved baking, sewing and quilting, traveling across the United States, listening to Celtic Thunder, and watching and collecting memorabilia of "Gone With The Wind."
