Martinsburg Council Approves 2019 Budget

Martinsburg Borough Council officially adopted its 2019 budget during its Dec. 3 meeting.

Council unanimously passed the balanced budget of $825,904. Real estate taxes will remain at 1.871 mills.

Other taxes passed by council include the per capita tax, $5; and the earned income tax, 5 mills.

The budget includes the $52 Local Services Tax, which will begin Jan. 1. Council enacted the tax during a special meeting Nov. 19.
