Colby Gojmerac of Roaring Spring recently won the 12u division of the District 3 Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships held at the Alpine Lanes in Washington, Pa. A total of 15 male athletes competed in the 12u division which encompasses all the southwest counties of Pennsylvania. Saturday (April 1) is "the big day" for trout fishermen. It is the opening day of the regular trout season and is the day that I believe more people are in Pennsylvania's outdoors than on any other day. Saturday (March 25) is the day for young trout fishermen to get a jump on the regular trout season. It is the Mentored Youth Trout Fishing Day. This is a statewide one-day opportunity for young anglers to fish on stocked trout waters a week ahead of the regular opening day. As a fly-fisherman I have come up with few original ideas. Most of the things I know about fishing had already been developed by older generations of fishermen.
